About the work
The first full-scale outing for a character who had only ever existed in margins. Flat cyan and magenta fields, a hard black outline laid with a loaded brush in one movement, and a field of hand-drawn pattern behind him that took longer than the figure did. He is waving. It is unclear whether he is arriving or leaving.
