About the work
Built over eleven days in the Limassol studio with the windows open. The ground went down as flat cadmium, then kept getting buried — trowelled ridges, a scraped-back magenta, dry-brushed black that catches the light from the side. The blue shapes were the last thing to arrive and they organise everything underneath them. Stand close and the surface is loud. Step back six feet and it settles.
