About the work
The largest of the 2025 abstracts and the heaviest in the hand — some of the impasto stands nearly a centimetre off the linen. Layers were left to skin over rather than dry, so the ridges hold a wet gloss against matte grounds. A single horizon of chrome yellow runs the full width and stops the composition from collapsing into itself.
